The Navagraha pooja (worship of 9 incarnations controlled by planets) is a time-tested Vedic ritual, which combines the poojas for all the nine planets (or grahas) in our vedic sciences. The Navagraha Shanti Pooja has the power to nullify or remove all doshas (or flaws) in one’s horoscope and enable the person to prosper in life and bring peace to one's life.
In the book, Parasara Hora sastra, Prasara Muni has explained the perfect method for alleviating afflictions indicated by planets, and that is by the sincere worship of God. He writes that planets are created by Lord Krishna, and that each planet is a manifestation of a particular avatar of Krishna. So, if a planet is signifying problems in one’s life, then he should worship the particular avatar who controls that planet. Following shows the avatar that controls the particular planet.
